From: "Brandi" To: , Cc: "'Chang, Timothy'" Subject: RE: Cables in the mods: YOU can help! Date: Wed, 13 Jul 2005 16:48:44 -0700 That's bullshit! If Tim's concerned about the appearance of the mods than we can tell him to take out the trash and get rid of the ants. I stand by my earlier statement that duct taping them down so that they are not a tripping hazard is acceptable until the complaints about hot water, kitchens, soap, ants, and trash removal are at least taken care of. If you are concerned about building aesthetics then these things are far more important than a few duck taped Ethernet cables. Thanks again. From Tim Chang to Jenny, in an e-mail earlier today. (She wrote him an e-mail to complain about this situation): "In my history and experience here, the students (while well-intentioned and knowledgeable), do not perform the work needed to specifications that are acceptable. I have an obligation to keep the mods in a condition that is well maintained and safe. Allowing the "Kludgenet" to exist as it is does not address either of these issues. The cables running around present tripping hazards and they do not maintain the appearance of the mods that I need to sustain. Simply "duct-taping" the cables down does not maintain the appearance of the mods either, making this an unacceptable solution." --valerie Brandi wrote: >I totally agree with this.
